About CVRA

Road Runners Club of AmericaThe Cedar Valley Running Association was founded in 1982 to promote a healthy and enjoyable lifestyle through the sports of running and walking. If you are interested in improving your current fitness level, speed, or running longer, come join us!

The CVRA sanctions eight races per year, organizes various group training runs, hosts social events, distributes a newsletter, and has a board meeting each month.

We are an offically sanctioned club of Road Runners Club of America.

Membership

Club membership is open to all interested parties including walkers, joggers, and non-competitive runners regardless of age, sex or athletic ability. With the membership fee you will receive the monthly newsletter, discounts on area races, and discounts from local merchants. Your membership cost will help keep CVRA going, which advocates on behalf of the running community and provides many opportunities for area runners. If you want to improve your current level of fitness and have some fun doing it, join today. See also a complete list of member benefits.

Costs are $15 for an individual, $20 for a household, and $25 for charitable members. The renewal date is April 1 of each year. Statements are issued during February prior to expiration.

CVRA also gives back to our local community even outside of running. For each CVRA sponsored race, the race director chooses a charity and a small percentage of the entry fees are donated to that charity. Examples are the Red Cross, Waypoint and the Mercy Hospice House.
